Now, “don’t think, just shoot” has a deeper meaning for me: As I take each shot with my toy cameras, I simultaneously let go of worrying whether I got it right. The hot sun and sand, the cool water and awesome consistent waves of San Juan, La Union is my favorite destination in the whole of Luzon! Even if it is 5 hours away from my home in Manila, Philippines, I would gladly leave at 1AM to catch waves early in the morning and then leave after dinner to get enough sleep before work the next day! (OK, so I’ll probably have someone else drive)

For that day, we owned one private, beautiful island. It was probably the most beautiful beach I have ever been to. Indeed, it's an island, but a really small one. Fuji Velvia wasn't my favorite film at first. In fact, I bought a bunch of expired rolls of this film, and then after a few test rolls, I wanted to sell off the rest of my stock! Now, I can't seem to get enough of it -- I'm even looking to buy more cameras to use it with!!! Let me show you what I've learned about it by sharing with you my pictures...
