A Scottish road trip which runs from Stirling Castle to the Wallace Monument then the Loch Lomond! My best friend and her boyfriend who were working in Germany came and visited me in Edinburgh when I was studying there. We rented a car and went on a road trip on a sunny autumn day. My housemate joined us too!

The Botanic Gardens in Glasgow's West End includes an outdoor arboretum and several Victorian greenhouses. Created in 1817 and originally used to supply the nearby university; the gardens were host to all manner of concerts and events. Two abandoned railway stations are located within its grounds.

Arthur's Seat is a natural inner city escape. It is an extinct volcano and has been called by this name since the 15th century. Walking though the valleys in and around Arthur's Seat you can easily forget that you're in the city centre.

The mile long mixture of tourism and historic scotland starts at Hollyrood with a fantastic view of Arthurs Seat up to Edinburgh Castle where there is fantastic view of Edinburgh.

I knew, when I graduated, I didn't want to go traveling yet. I also knew I didn't want to dive head-first into a career in just anything. I decided to spend a year living back in Glasgow and working in a pizza shop until I decided what I wanted to do.

Buildings opposite the Buchanan Galleries are being demolished to make way for ten new shops, a restaurant, and forty-nine new flats. Currently, all the old buildings are being razed, save for a B-listed façade on West Nile Street. The work has been going on for months and will continue for some time.

My sister used to talk about Scotland quite a lot in the last few months: how she enjoyed her time spent there when she was a student and how beautiful and romantic the country is. So we went there and had a wonderful time.

Edinburgh is one of my all-time favourite places and even though it's been a little while since we were there, I still miss its wonderful atmosphere. It was one of the first places that I took my Instax Mini and I'm still so happy with how the photos turned out.

The Holyrood Park was a volcanic site, which was active in the early Carboniferous times, about 340 million years ago. Today, it is one of the major tourist attractions even for the locals of Edinburgh.
